A Green Commitment at Mariscal Sucre School: Tree Day Celebration

October 1st is Tree Day in Bolivia, a date that invites us to reflect on the importance of nature and our role in caring for it. This year, Mariscal Sucre School celebrated this day in a very special way thanks to the enthusiasm of the 4th-grade students and their teacher, Jackeline Paredes.

With great joy and energy, the children planted small trees on the school grounds. They not only put in the effort to plant them, but also committed to caring for them every day, with love and responsibility. The most beautiful part was that, with creativity and tenderness, each student named their tree, creating a unique and special bond that will motivate them to watch them grow as part of their own school story.

It was a moment of reflection, but also of celebration. Amid smiles and simple words, the children remembered that trees are not just shade or scenery, but life, clean air, and hope for the future. Planting a tree is planting dreams and caring for the planet we all share.

We want to thank the school administration for providing the space and supporting this initiative, which teaches beyond the classroom: it teaches us to love and respect our surroundings. We also thank the municipal government staff who provided the seedlings to make this special experience possible.

Tree Day at Mariscal Sucre School was more than just a school activity: it was a reminder that, with small gestures, we can improve the world. Each tree planted holds in its roots the promise of a greener future, and in its leaves, the joy of the children who will care for it with all their hearts.
